“Where in the world are we going?” “If you don’t know where you’re going, you probably won’t get there.” “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

There are plenty of time-tested adages that make the case for careful planning.

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

Luke 14

We help congregations and non-profit organizations engage in a soulful process of discerning their future. The process involves deep listening, a demographic study, work on identity (mission, vision, core values), and then, with all these in hand, a thoughtful process of discernment of strategic directions for the next few years. We curate the process taking a lot of the weight of the pastor, administrator, CEO, or board chair.
