I had a great visit today at Zion in Brenham!

They just created a new logo, and it was everywhere.

This is the cornerstone from the old building that was destroyed in the Galveston hurricane of 1900. The scriptural reference of Psalm 84:11-13 is from Die Bibel. Your Bible probably doesn’t have a verse 13. Apparently Luther counted the inscription (for the musician, of the sons of Korah) as verse one, so they are actually referencing verses 10-12:

For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
he bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does the Lord withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
happy is everyone who trusts in you.

Here is the drawing of the first Church:

The second church they built after the hurricane:

They saved a few relics from the first church. Notice the prevalence of crucifixes.
