After a long drive off road and then a hike to a village inaccessible to vehicles, we received a warm welcome with popcorn, food, coffee, local honey and homemade beer.
It’s hard to convey how a well changes their lives. For generations they hauled water from a site miles away. Many hours spent every day hauling water. Children unable to go to school. Pregnant women doing back-breaking work. Dirty water. And now, a clear water well, a 15-minute walk away. They try to help us understand…
