Last month I had a chance encounter with a member of Christ the King, Houston who also adopted through Lutheran Social Services. From where, I asked.

No way.
Turns out they adopted from from the very same orphanage we did, only seven years earlier. Yesterday, on Yuliana’s 11th birthday, we got the girls together for lunch. Here’s Julia and Yuliana, two beautiful girls who lived in the same orphanage in Russia, 1000 miles east of Moscow in the foothills of the Ural Mountains, now living in the Houston area. Julia is now a sophomore at Texas A&M.

I finally made the connection; both of you have adopted Russian children and both have been advocates for the cause. So let me introduce the two of you in hopes you might find common cause in the future. Terry meet Bishop Mike whose blogs are always of interest. Bishop Mike meet Terry King my financial guru.
