“If you purify your soul of attachment to and desire for things, you will understand them spiritually. If you deny your appetite for them, you will enjoy their truth, understanding what is certain in them.”
—St. John of the Cross was a Spanish mystic, Carmelite friar and priest who died in this day in 1591.

Thank You. My stumbling block is not so much desire for more things, than attachment to things. Louise and I had a good conversation on this while driving back from a member’s Christmas reception. They have LOTS of things, especially Christmas stuff. Our attachment to things is often just a displaced, (misplaces) attachment to the memories and especially the relationships that we associate with those things. Enjoy the typewriters. Peace, Jim
