Dr. Ehrhardt connected love of mother with self-worth. Self worth is set up in the first six months of life. Receiving love teaches us at an early age that the world is a trustworthy place, and that God is trustable.

This heightens the importance of preaching the love of God. God loves you with an everlasting love. You matter to God. The hairs on your head are numbered.

However preaching this is not enough. People need to experience love. If we talk it but don’t live it, the words are hollow and even derisive to the world. The church must model love to one another and the world.
