I stopped by Lutherhill today to visit with my favorite Camp Director. I got a tour of the new Retreat Center, which is looking fabulous! They are on track for their mid-September deadline.

I also got to see the refurb of some of the oldest cabins at camp, which are now casitas.

When you walk in the front it looks chaotic, but that’s because they’re installing the drop ceiling right now. Notice Opie Otterstad’s mosaic at the entrance.

Below is a close-up of the mosaic at the entrance. For more on the mosaic click here: New Lutherhill Mosaic by Opie Otterstad. Wait till you see it. The photo doesn’t do it justice.

Coffee bar in the back is being installed, and the island will have spaces for warming pans to serve food.
There are outdoor patios on both sides.
The views from these bedrooms are going to be spectacular, with floor to ceiling windows.

I also got the check out the casitas. These old cabins were built around the same year I was at one point they were on the chopping block, but a bright architect envision adding onto them and giving them a completely new facelift.
