The Russian Memorial:
The Reichstag burned in 1933 and was only used again by the German Parliament in 1990 I believe.
The Brandenburg Ferris Wheel. (They were set up for a concert. This week when Germany beat Portugal? 4-0 Kathy and Arthur said there were 100,000 people out here celebrating.)

The Holocaust Memorial was abstract. Perhaps that is the only way one can try to portray the unthinkable. As you go through it, the floor gets deeper and the stones higher. One sinks into it. Kudos to the Germans for making so much space for this and teaching the next generation.
