The Thomanerchor (St. Thomas Boys Choir) is the oldest musical institution in Europe. It has been in continuous existence for over 800 years. Johann Sebastian Bach was once its director, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy worked with it, and Richard Wagner was a member.
