America is a nation of values, founded on a premise: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator by certain in alienable rights.”
What binds us together as Americans is not what we look like or where we are from. What binds us together is not a common culture or common religion.
What binds us together is our commitment to an ideal: Freedom. We are a nation of people from everywhere, bound together by a vision of liberty and justice for all. America deserves a common sense immigration process consistent with these core values.
Hard-working, tax-paying, aspiring Americans deserve this too. This is who we are: the land of opportunity and hope. A common-sense immigration process will recognize the hardships and contributions of people moving here. It will keep families together, and create a roadmap to citizenship.
As a person of faith I am also committed to welcoming the stranger, something spoken of frequently in the Scriptures. People have always moved here for the dream of freedom and opportunity. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Let’s keep it that way. Let’s make sure our laws abide by our deepest values.

We already have enough laws written about this, but the current Ad. Min. has said they will not uphold the current laws. Why then would they or the next group want to uphold more laws. This is just was waste of time and money to continue to go through this

Our immigration laws are broken.

Let’s be clear. We are talking primarily about Mexican nationals who snuck into the country, and rewarding them with citizenship for their savvy.

As a retired law enforcement officer in Milwaukee County Wisconsin, I beg to differ. We have immigration laws that are simply not enforced. ICE turns a blind eye and makes it much more desirable to the illegal to cross over without threat of deportation. Every sovereign country has a right to limit immigration. Without proper immigration communicable diseases can cross borders, criminals can enter, illegals can be taken advantage of, and those here illegally end up having to hide in the shadows, becoming identity thieves or worse. Let’s try to use a system that would work if enforced properly before we decide to change the rules to fit our fancies.

Time to change those laws to fit our values.

Thank you Mr. Kriefall. I very much agree with you.
