Pastor Alma Buco is a graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago (LSTC) as is her husband, Pastor David Buco, who is serving Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson, Texas. Pastor Alma is being installed as associate pastor today, and Pastor David is being installed tomorrow as Pastor at Faith.
Nobody is more delighted than Brad Otto, senior pastor at Messiah. Well, perhaps David’s parents, who are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and are happy to have their kids and grandchild in the Synod!
Pastor Chris Michaelis, Dean of the Southwest Houston Conference presided at the installation.
Bishop’s Associate for Leadership Tracey Breashears Schultz, who oversees the call process, also participated in leadership of the service.
Pastor Alma, Pastor David (not pictured), Pastor Chris, in Pastor Megan (First Galveston) all graduated from LSTC.
