This year Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) celebrates its 75th anniversary of welcoming refugees to this country. LIRS is the respected leader in refuge resettlement. It is something Lutherans do well. Consider having Refugee Sunday on June 22 this year (or some other date) to draw attention to, and celebrate this work. Take a special offering to support this work that protects children and saves lives.
