I believe that is what we have prayer for–in those cases that you cannot directly do anything or you are not the one called to do it.

Sometimes the most important prayer is for the wisdom / guidance to know if, by some weird call, you ARE supposed to be the one to do something. I suspect that we all tend to start from “What a shame… Hope somebody does something about that..” and never have the … guts(?) to ask that hard question, of ourselves or of God.

Agreed. I have a tendency to react sometimes especially with children rather than discerning. Often God has someone in mind and I was just suppose to notice and pray. He works in my ordinary daily activities so sometimes it happens so naturally I cannot tell what is me and what is Him. Maybe that is prayer without ceasing. 🙂 Hard question for me is “is there a ministry of the presence?” Scripture often talks about descent or entering into Spirit. God is always present but sometimes He is actively working The more I study, the more I become more faithful in my devotions but most of all the more I listen and seek Him the harder it is for me to discern what is me and what is Him. 🙂 If it is so for me, then there are others and what we interpret as a problem may very well be God’s work. LOL!
