Less than a mile from Blue Bell Creameries sits Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham Texas. Pastor Mark Groves has served the congregation for 11 years. They have worship on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.

September 24, 2023
Four days after this Sunday (9/17) visit, Pastor Mark would join us in Galveston for a deans’ retreat. Little did I know, three days later, after church on Sunday, he would suffer a heart attack at home and die in the ambulance. Mark was an outstanding pastor. This is a blow to his family and the church. I will post my comments from the funeral in the days ahead. Rest in peace, friend.
